Biographical Note
Ambassador Wanda Nesbitt worked in a variety of capacities in the U.S. Department of State for 38 years. Over the course of her career, she served as U.S. ambassador to three countries: Namibia, C繫te d'Ivoire and Madagascar. During her three years in Namibia, she coordinated President Bushs Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).Amb. Nesbitt holds a bachelors degree in French and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and a masters degree in National Security Strategy from the National War College. She is the recipient of several awards, including three Presidential Awards for Meritorious Service and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joint Distinguished Civilian Service Award.
