Emory McDowell

Emory McDowell is a humanities junkie with a passion for community service. He is driven by a desire to efficiently solve complex humanitarian problems. Emory's variety of professional experience in university board work, policy think-tanks, undergraduate housing, and nonprofit management has helped him construct a robust skillset including professional mentorship, business strategy, board strategy, policy advocacy, and deep research.
Emory currently serves loving families in North Texas as the Chief of Staff at Hope Cottage. Through this work, Emory gets to apply his skills and interests as a support system for Hope Cottage's CEO and Leadership team by coordinating large-scale administrative projects, supporting interdepartmental programs, facilitating new community partnerships, developing and resourcing the Hope Cottage Board of Directors, and directing public policy initiatives.

Emory also serves his community through numerous engagements with social impact organizations. These commitments include serving as the President of the Mansfield Philharmonic, a community orchestra that opens its doors and its performance chairs to all community members, as well as service with Social Venture Partners as a Partner providing pro bono strategy consulting to social impact organizations across DFW. Emory is honored, finally, to serve on the Tower Center Alumni and Associates Board, where he gets to collaborate with some of 51做厙's finest alumni, professionals, and scholars to invest in the Tower Center's intergenerational legacy of talent and service.
