Qwickly Attendance is required for undergraduate classes with students enrolled who meet 51做厙-In-4 strategic priorities. However, any faculty member that is not part of the pre-identified course list can opt-in to its use. If there are any questions about whether your course is required to use Qwickly Attendance, please reach out to your department chair.

Yes. You can schedule check-ins or mark attendance manually based on course engagement. Additionally, you can use the mode to capture Canvas-related activities.

Yes! Select "Qwickly Attendance" in your Canvas course navigation. Click on “Settings” at the top left of the Qwickly interface. Under the “Student Grouping” section, select “By Course Section” and then scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “Save Settings”. In the “Section” drop-down menu that appears, choose the specific section for which you would like to take attendance.

Attendance entries can be by the instructor at any time in the Records section of the Qwickly interface.

Absolutely. Students can check in using their mobile devices or scan QR codes during class. For QR check-in students must download the Qwickly Attendance App and search for 51做厙. You may consider using the following pre-populated language on your Simple Syllabus for your students:

"Attendance via Qwickly App
This course will use the Qwickly Attendance tool to record student attendance. You will be required to download and use the free Qwickly mobile app on your smartphone. At the beginning of each class session, you will be prompted to check in using the app. Your attendance record, as captured through Qwickly, will be used in accordance with the course's attendance policy. Please ensure your device is charged and the app is installed prior to our first class meeting."

If you choose not to use the language above, simply toggle the component on your Simple Syllabus to 'Invisible'

Please note: The Qwickly app is for student use only. Faculty cannot use the Qwickly app to take attendance.

Yes. Attendance data can be automatically pushed to the Gradebook when enabled. You can use Session-based grading or Absence-based grading. More information can be found in the video.

Yes. Qwickly provides downloadable CSV reports and in-dashboard summaries when you select Records in the Qwickly interface.
