About
Beck A. Munsey Ph.D., LPC-S is a counselor, supervisor, and Professor at Tarleton State University. He maintains a private practice in the Fort Worth, TX area and uses clinical insights to inform his teaching. As a supervisor, he maintains a few LPC-Associates on his case load and works with them to help develop their skills and earn their hours towards their full license as an LPC. In Dr. Munsey’s role as a counselor educator, he helps students develop skills and deepen their understanding of what it means to be a mental health professional. Dr. Munsey has served in leadership roles such as Department Chair at Tarleton and has been asked to present at state, national, and international conferences on mental health issues.
On a personal note, Dr. Munsey can be found enjoying life by spending time with family and friends and enjoying long bike rides. Also, he loves food and can be seen trying new restaurants, including finding new coffee spots.
